In 2013, I joined a 5-person agency as their Accountant, I fell in love with agency life — creating order in chaos and the vitality of growth and change. Over the next 11 years, my role evolved to Chief Problem Solver (aka COO+CFO) and I helped transform the start-up into a profitable 8M+ company with more than 70 team members, earning multiple Inc. Best Workplace and Inc. 5000 national and regional recognitions plus two local 1st place Best Workplaces awards.
Then I watched and grieved as that fabulous culture died when owner priorities shifted to profit over people.
